S3 Expands Onshore Seismic Capabilities with 20,000-Node STRYDE Acquisition System

By Team GoodTendersSmart Seismic Solutions (S3) has strengthened its onshore seismic survey capabilities through the acquisition of a 20,000-node seismic acquisition system from STRYDE, supporting growing demand for high-resolution subsurface imaging across carbon storage, geothermal, and energy exploration projects. The move follows a series of large-scale survey deployments across Europe using leased STRYDE equipment.
Under the agreement, S3 will integrate STRYDE’s Nimble seismic acquisition system and 20,000 Range+ seismic nodes into its operations. The technology has already supported major projects, including carbon capture and storage (CCS) site evaluations in Denmark, geothermal exploration in France, and one of Europe’s largest onshore seismic surveys for carbon storage in early 2026.

The acquisition highlights increasing demand for advanced high-density seismic imaging technologies to support subsurface characterization for emerging energy sectors. STRYDE’s nodal seismic technology is designed to improve operational efficiency through automated node deployment and handling, reducing survey logistics while delivering faster and more accurate seismic data collection.
